0500z - 0530z - Anzo Net on 7,115
Thanks to Klaus for the following relay :-

Peter and Bill (ZD) had a good chat on 40 m (7.115 KHz) before the ANZO net started. Peter reported that ZL1RD, Rob, and ZL1BFS, Doug had been active on the net earlier.

0530z - 0700z  Europe - Anzo Net on 14,293 Long Path.
Greetings Bill,

Started listening at 05:30z but this Sunday morning to no avail. As time moved on I got more and more convinced that all the regular VKs and ZLs were absent. Then with a delay of 50 minutes relative to last Sunday, the VKs started coming in. The Scandinavian Contest was on and OH8X was operating on 14293 with a 59+ signal. When he heard that I had a schedule with VK friends, he did not hesitate to QSY!!! Peter was calling me at the time.

06:27z  VK3KCD, Peter. 54 here, quickly improving to 59 both ways. Peter again used his spider beam.

06:30z  VK4ZD, Bill. 54 when initially heard. Got a 53, but Bill then faded out and there was no second peak.

06:36z  VK2GWK, Henk. 57 here. Got 55 - 57. The SteppIR plus Emtron linear is a fine combination.

06:52z  EA7GSU, Pertti. Mostly 59 both ways.

06:55z  PA3AHC, Malcolm. No copy here, but Malcolm got a Q5 from Peter.

07:05z  G4YZE, Bill from Bolton. Generally 44 here. Bill's report to me was lost.

07:27z  Net closed

Many thanks to Treasurer Bob for the following report :-
Hi Bill,    I was net control today.  Had to move the net to 14.290 because of QRM.
Checkins were;    Jack KF5BD,  Joe W0TBC, Jim W1QUO
and  Pertti EA7GSU by CW by Joe W0TBC.  Signals still not good.
YIR    73,    Bob WB7RQG

And to Pertti for this report :-
Hello Bill,
I was there 10 min late but the band was like a beehive, full of
splatters. Probably because of those new countries filling the frequencies.
BUT... I called on CW and got an answer from W0TBC! He came with 579
slowly but surely!
That was all.   Pertti

Messages Received.
From President Pertti re a 40-metre net on Tuesdays at 0700z  :-
Hello Bill,
On Tuesday at 0700UTC I heard EA/G4HMG calling several stations on
7.180kHz. I answered at 0701 and we changed reports 59 both ways. For
QRM reason we moved 3kHz up. No other members joined our chatting in
spite of encouragement offered by both stations!
Art of the day, minor stories of weather and intentions for the rest of
the day were the topics. We closed the net at 0732UTC.
There is plenty of space for more members to join!
