0754z - EA7GSU Pertti from Genalguacil 5/9 - 2/9 in qrm.

0838z - G3LUW Brian in Devon 2/2 here, worked John OK.
0842z - Net ended.  With the contesters going S9+40 here I was very pleased
to hear our gang punching through very well. It will be easier next week.
Pertti is looking forward to visitors from Finland in November.
John still having some sinus trouble but improved.  Seeing the doc on thursday.

Many thanks to Peter VK3KCD for the following report :
-Good Morning Bill
I can only imagine what the QRM was like in Europe yesterday and could hear a continual background “burble” all over the band. However at 0802 heard you at 3x2 in contact with HB9CQS at 4-5x3 and then Klaus had a QSO with VK4ZD who was very weak on backscatter. Nothing more was heard after Klaus closed. Should be less QRM next week
73 for now

G2FUU Tommy in charge in noisy conditions.
G0JWE Don from Ockbrook, Derbys. 5/7
G4WRU Mike from Wanstead, London 5/9
G3LUW Brian from Lifton, Devon 5/9
M0BDI Ralph from Itchenor, Chichester, 4/5.
G0SQH Derek from Ringwood, Hants 5/7,
G0MMO Norman from Wirksworth ,Derbys. 5/6,
G4MVO Jim from sunny Cheltenham 5/6,
G8LES Regional Vice President Mike from Alton, Hants 5/9,
G0PCF Treasurer Bruce from Shoeburyness, Southend, Essex 5/8,
G4YZE Bill in Bolton - where they used to spin the cotton, and make Railway Engines !
Ralph M0BDI is still waiting for Mike G8LES to come and doctor his antenna, but Mike
is inundated with work rebuilding his kitchen - and his house -  at the moment..
But it was a good net - despite the contest qrm.

1200z - 1300z  International net on 14,293
1203z - SM0CSF Nils in Falun 5/9 in the clear but 2/9 with contest qrm.
1207z - VE3BGG Bert in Ontario R3 in qrm - no ontact.- (maybe I imagined it)
1210z - EA7GSU Pertti in Genalguacil 59/29 copied 30 percent.
1215z - Net abandoned due to ferocious contest qrm.
This was a real rough one.

1900z - 1930z  UK evening 80-metre net on 3,693
Band solid with contesters giving no quarter.
I did not even try !

                                               That's all for this week,
Not much but it will get better.  Solar Flux was up to 82 on Tuesday, best for two years I think.
