No signals from "down under" but following received from Rob in Auckland : -
Hi Bill
For the second week in a row, I have heard no one on the ROAR net
frequency. Last week I could only hear the Japanese station, although I
believe he heard and worked VK4ZD and VK2GWK they were inaudible here
in NZ.                    (I think Pertti heard you about 0745z Rob !)
I did hear VK8BJ tonight and worked Noel but nothing was heard from the others.
What I did hear every few seconds was a blast of noise... Noel thought
it was Indonesian radar...   that took out everything on frequency. It
continued at the time I am writing this at 0817 UTC. The noise takes out
all signals from about 14.282 through 14.308 when it is on.
I am hoping conditions change and I am able to rejoin the net in the
next few weeks.
All the best from New Zealand

I’ve been asked to serve as a Regional VP with Jim.  Jim says it is a cheerleader position.  So I guess I can handle that.
I have a kidney transplant on the 12th of March so I’m hoping after that to be up to speed.
Best Chuck
(Hi!  you did well to find a match Chuck. Best wishes from us all for a good op. on Thursday.  Bill g4yze)

Following from Secretary Brian G3LUW on Sunday evening  re. Ralph M0BDI.
Hi everybody,   Sally rang me this evening to say that Ralph had been taken ill in Majorca. He was taken to hospital.
Sally was given a bed and they spent 13 of the 15 days in the ward. A doctor accompanied them home by air yesterday
and he is now in bed at home in Itchenor. They are not sure what the problem is, but suspect a minor stroke.
He was very dizzy and was unable to remain upright. Sally says his sight is muzzy.
He cannot focus well enough to read and has blurred vision. Their doctor called today and she is arranging for him to see a neurologist.
I do not think he or Sally will be opening e-mails, but this is Ralph's address : -

Ralph Lansdale,  Harbour House, Spinney Lane, Itchenor,  Chichester, PO20 7DJ    Tel :  01243 512368

(Best wishes from us all for a full and speedy recovery Ralph !)
