Sunday morning.
No Europeans
either.
In the afternoon

through heavy
contest QRM. No
other ROAR
stations heard.

coming up to

running the
contest.

the freq.

started 500
cycles below
calling test
joined at
0740 by E7..
3kc down
both over
driving PA's
and causing
splattering
S9plus 20.
BUT! 0805 I
recognized
OH6SM's
voice with a
signal 19!
We were not
able to
communicate
but
confirmed
that we knew
who was on
the opposite
end!!

about insurance
costs for the
Convention station
at Birmingham NEC.
About £700 premium
plus a £2,500 excess
if there is a
claim.-
chiefly arising from
the
trailer and
mast mounting our
beam. Anything less
in the way of an
antenna
would be quite
useless at that
site. We are not
permitted to attach
anything to the
building.
