Thanks to Klaus for the following report:-
Hallo Bill,
During the week there were several good openings to VK2, but absolutely nothing this Sunday morning. No Europeans either.
In the afternoon I worked Jim, W1QUO, briefly through heavy contest QRM. No other ROAR stations heard.
73, Klaus - HB9CQS

And to Pertti for the following report:-
Hi Bill,
I had my rx open since 0630 utc on reasonably empty frequence. 0645 I heard something, 0655 I hrd the call: zl1byz coming up to 57 and running the contest.
0705 he left the freq. 0735 S5... started 500 cycles below calling test joined at 0740 by E7.. 3kc down both over driving PA's and causing splattering S9plus 20.
BUT! 0805 I recognized OH6SM's voice with a signal 19! We were not able to communicate but confirmed that we knew who was on the opposite end!!
Sort of ANZO net????

Messages Received.
Anxious debates about insurance costs for the Convention station at Birmingham NEC.
About £700 premium plus a £2,500 excess if there is a claim.- chiefly arising from the
trailer and mast mounting our beam.  Anything less in the way of an antenna
would be quite useless at that site. We are not permitted to attach anything to the building.
                                The debate continues!
