From John Rickwood G3JJR re. the Convention station: -
Hi Bill.
            The mast is up,  carrying a 3-element beam for 20m, 15m, & 10m also a Windom for 80m & 40m !
Not without problems though but all is sorted.
Firstly, Wythall were not satisfied with the guying pins and have installed their own.
Secondly the rotator had to be stripped (and dried out) but all is now functioning. SWR’s look good.
We hope to operate during the House of Friendship’ opening hours which are 1000 to 2000 on Saturday (20th)
0900 to 1700 on Sunday (21st), 0900 to 1800 on Monday and Tuesday (22nd/23rd), and 0900 to 1600 on Wednesday
           (24th).  Times in BST  (UTC+1)
We will make a special effort on the Sunday to start at 0800. Perhaps you could publicise this in your news-letter
quoting "80 through 10 depending on conditions".
Unfortunately the beam is 5 foot below the roof line, but it is 5 foot above the metal cladding so we hope for the best.
            Wish us luck!
            73        John
                                          That's all for this week,
                                            73 de Bill g4yze
