John and Klaus did little better - But !!
Following received from Pertti EA7GSU after the net : -
.....The window is opening!  I had a super qso this morning with vk2gwk Henk
with 59/55 and with vk3kcd Peter 43/43 (the latter is mine) starting at 0707
this morning. Henk sent greetings to all roar members "on the European side."
He will be leaving for Holland in two weeks time and staying a couple of weeks
and will try to participate in the 80 metre net.
73 de Pertti, ea7gsu.
    And from  Peter VK3KCD,
Good morning Bill,
The ionospheric gods finally shone upon us last Sunday. At 0648 heard Henk
VK2GWK at 5 x 3-5 on back scatter. (He couldn't hear me)  I then heard
Pertti EA7GSU in contact with Henk who was fast disappearing, at 0701 I broke
in and was heard by Pertti who gave me 4 x 3 with qsb. My report to him was
also 4 x 3 with qsb and we completed the contact at 0712.
It's been a long time since I heard any Europeans on the net and hope conditions
continue to improve. I should be there next week and hope the VK/ZL phone
contest does not create too much QRM.
