Greetings Bill,
No VKs this Sunday morning. We are still waiting for an upturn of conditions. During the week my skeds with VK2BLZ did not fare any better.
We only once had a brief 43 QSO before signals disappeared again. It was at 06:45z.
Unfortunately, I did not hear any European stations either, - possibly because the skip distance was too long.
After this disappointment, it was a pleasure to participate in the International Net and the contest QRM was bearable.
11:45z VE2GTI, Coos. Just in time for exchanging reports and greetings before Coos went QRT. Coos was 57 here.
11:45z W1QUO, Jim. 57 here. Got 58.
11:45z EA7GSU, Pertti. 56, when I was beaming towards New England and 59 when beaming south of west.
11:50z G4YZE, Bill. 56 here as long as I was beaming towards New England. Got 58. A welcome improvement over recent months.
12:06z Net closed.

Messages Received.
From President John W8AUV re. LA Convention station.
It is looking very promising that K6R will be alive from the LA08 Convention. W4ADU and XYL N5MUU will be supplying a computer to remote base
arrangement for the booth and other times during LA08 RI Convention. See message below for a brief lineup of the equipment.
We plan a formal announcement shortly as we need to set up an operating schedule, set frequencies and have operators available.
Kermit KJ6DU, last we visited on this subject you indicated we will have wireless access to the internet. I’m hoping this remains a valid assumption.
More later, YIR and 73 John Maier, W8AUV
