Hi Bill
Well the high winds did some significant damage to the antenna system at
zl1rd. The piece of 50 mm aluminium tubing  with a 6 mm wall thickness
bend over double with a small 3 element beam and a 144/432 mhz dual band
co-linear. It will be replaced with a steel pipe but putting the entire
arrangement back together is probably a few weeks off from now.
I am hoping to be back on the air and back on the ROAR Net by mid August.
All the best in the interim,
73, rob zl1rd.

Staying with New Zealand - We had the great pleasure of a phone call today (Tuesday)
from Joyce Campbell, daughter of our late member Alex Campbell ZL4TB of Invercargill.
Alex was the NZ anchor man of our Anzo nets for many years until his sad death in 2002.
We look forward to a visit from Joyce on 28th August, before she returns to NZ on the 29th.

From President John W8AUV
Dear Fellow ROAR Member,
Since the printing of the Member Directory we have had several new members (mostly from the RI Convention in Los Angeles)
join ROAR, we discovered a couple of members we forgot to list in the directory and several information corrections.
Please take a few moments to bring your Member Directory up to date.
Should you have not received a directory please email me and we’ll get one to you.

Yours in Rotary and 73,
John Maier, W8AUV
