Propagation improved slightly.  K=2, A=12, Flux=68
 
0700z - 0800z - Europe - Anzo Net on 14,293 Long Path.
Dead band here during this hour.
 
0800z - 0900z  UK 80-metre Net on 3,693
G2FUU Tommy in charge from Nazeing, Essex.
Eight on the net in fair conditions.
 
1130z - 1230z  International Net on 14,293
Our anchor man Jim W1QUO was "spending a couple of days in hospital.
Nothing too serious, a couple of pinched nerves. "    
In the event surgery was not required and - after medication -
Jim will be back on the air Sunday April 20".
But in Jim's absence all was quiet until Coos responded : -
1144z - VE2GTI Coos from Montreal a good 5/7 both ways.
1150z - HB9CQS Klaus from Sachseln 1/1 here, got 5/5 from Coos.
Transatlantic propagation seemed good.  We should do better next week.
 
1800z - 1900z  UK evening 80-metre Net on 3,693
G3LUW Brian in control from Devon.
Very noisy long skip[ conditions.
Six on the net including EA/G4HMG from Spain 5/5 here.
N.B. John is leaving Spain on Tuesday April 15 making his way
to the UK on 24th in time for our AGM at Cheltenham May 16, 17, 18.
