Thanks to Klaus for the following report.: -----------------
Greetings Bill,
Nothing doing this morning. Started at 06:30z and called CQ RI Net fairly frequently over the next hour.
At 07:10z I heard somebody answer, but I was unable to make out the call sign.
At 07:30z, a SM2 took over the frequency and I gave up. Checking the band quickly before going QRT,
I heard OH6, UW, CT1 and several JAs with up to 59 long path. I also heard a faint but workable VK5.

From Bill VK4ZD.  (Great to hear from you Bill !)
Hi Bill
This last week has been really hectic for Diane and me.
Preparations culminated in running a multi-multi station for the Oceania DX Contest from our ham shack on the block.
We had monobanders on 10m, 15m & 20m. We had an elevated (25m high) wire groundplane on 40m.
We also used 160m & 80m horizontal loops on 40m, 80m & 160m.
There were 9 operators present.
We made some 1200 plus contacts in 24 hours.
I suspect that we will have the highest overall score with this effort.
I believe that more than 1 contact was made into G-land on 40m.
I did try to call in to the ROAR net but only heard HB9CQS very faintly.
I was using a 2 element delta loop with 400w.
---  I have just made a phone call to Bill VK5CV. He points out that he has
mostly age related problems including deafness, but that his antenna and rotator needs attention.
Hi amplifier needs replacing also.
Although he knows people in Waikerie and Berri who could help him, he is loathe to ask.
He certainly sounded in good spirits.
He is going to take a look at Skype and see if he can get it going.
73's  de Bill, VK4ZD
