Roar Nets September 9 2007

Propagation still very soggy though K=0  A=7 and flux=67.

0630z - 0730z  Europe - Anzo net on 14,293 Long Path.
A good net but still no VKs.  Thanks to Klaus for the following report.:-----
Greetings Bill,
A perfect day for a demonstration to newcomers in amateur radio (if there had been any) what QSB really means.
With a few exceptions, signals suddenly appeared and then disappeared again just as quickly.
Sometimes the signals improved again later, but not always.

07:01z  EA7GSU, Pertti, now back from his seven weeks, 11000 km, trip to OH-land. A fairly steady 57 signal.
07:05z  GW4KVJ, John, 58 for a start. After that it was a yo-yo trip, but John was able to work EA5/G4HMG, John.
07:05z  EA5/G4HMG, John, started off with a 22 signal. At one point John reached a 56, but then disappeared almost completely.
07:20z  G4YZE, Bill. 83 years on this day. A fairly steady 59 here. Must have been a special birthday gift from the sun.
Pertti offered the traditional  "Happy birthday" song. Sounded good, although I prefer Steve Wonder's version. Many happy returns, Bill !
07:25z  PA0SDZ, Les. Good to hear Les again. Sadly, the pleasure didn't last for very long.
07:34z  EA5/G4MVV, Diana. I lost too much of the transmission, but have high hopes that we may, to use an old ham phrase, see Diana soon again.
07:48z  Bill, G4YZE, closed the gate.

Hi Bill,
I learned on the 1800UTC net via W1QUO that today is your birthday.  So……Happy Birthday!  We hope you enjoyed your special day.
Expect to eyeball Bob, WB7RQG this week during his major swing through the U.S. Midwest.  Bob visited with Joe, WØTBC last week
where his was entertained with a golf game, etc.  After visiting here in Dallas, Texas, Bob expects to go through Albuquerque, NM and
visit Jack, KF5BD on his way back to his home QTH.  It is good to see Bob out and about.  This will be a great Rotary venture.
73 and Enjoy
John, W8AUV
