Roar Nets June 17 2007

Not much propagation.  K=3,  A=8  Flux=79

0615z - 0730z  Europe - Anzo net on 14,293 long path.

Thanks to Klaus HB9CQS for the following report.
Greetings Bill,
Glad to learn that you are making good progress and may soon throw out one of the sticks.
I am sorry to say that on this Sunday morning our net did not deserve the prefix "ANZO." Luckily, short skip conditions were fairly good
and we had a fine European net while you were fighting with your laptop to get out the latest news to us about W7R.
Here is an excerpt of my log:
06:21z  G0JWE, Don. 58 most of the time. Don will visit the Norwegians fiords over the next couple of weeks.
06:25z  G3LUW, Brian. Peaking 59+10. Brian and I alternated trying to raise the VKs.Nothing doing.
06:29z  G4YZE, Bill. 56. With the PC down, Bill concentrated on getting the June 10 report out on the laptop and stepped out on the side line.
06:33z  G4HMG, John. 57 to 59+15. Making good progress on the permanent change of QTH to Spain.
06:38z  DG7AK, Axel, living in Lübeck. 44 here, but good copy in Devon. Not Rotarian but as always very welcome.
06:49z  EA7GSU, Pertti. 57. On holiday in Finland from July 15. Will be seeing Helga before departure.
06:56z  PA2X, Cees. 55. Due to skip conditions PA2X is a rare entry in my logbook so I was glad that we managed this morning.
07:04z  PA0SDZ, Les. 54. Les will attend the German ham convention in Friedrichshafen this coming Friday where we will try to meet.
07:08z  G4JVW, Bill, 59. Our 10th participant. Not bad.
07:33z  Net closed

Messages Received

Dear Jim
Many thanks for your message.
I have been listening on 14.293 Sunday and Monday evening, but nothing doing.
Monday evening I heard Brian, G3LUW, calling W7R and we spoke briefly. Brian did not fare any better.
Will certainly try again.  73   Klaus Dwinger, HB9CQS

Dear Bill and Klaus,

Had an armchair contact with President John, operating W7R Sunday, June 17, 17:30, 14.288.  I passed on Bill Learmonth's suggestion,
W7R look for you and other European contacts 21:00 UTC, 14.293.        73,   Jim Moran,   W1QUO

N.B.  I also tried W7R on Sunday at 2200z.  Heard Pertti EA7GSU get a contact giving 4/5 and got 4/5 from W7R op. Linda
Here  I had absolutely no discernible signal from W7R.    Congratulations Pertti.   Bill g4yze.

That's all for this week,
Hope I can get it away despite temperamental computer problems.
