Roar Nets August 26 2007

Propagation still very poor.   K=1  A=10 Flux=72.

0630z - 0730z  Europe - Anzo net on 14,293 Long Path.
Many thanks to Klaus for this report : -

Greetings Bill,
A lively net, but still no ANZOs heard. Signals varied a lot this Sunday morning, with too many only occasionally
readable or not readable at all. For once, the problem was not my poor hearing.
My temporary second operator, Pertti, HB9/EA7GSU, did not fare any better.
07:05z  G4YZE, Bill, 59, already in contact with
EA5/G4HMG/P, John, from mobile home parked at the new mansion in Benissa. Fine signal, mostly 57-59.
07:15z  GOJWE, Don. Unfortunately only 44 at best here.
07:17z  PAOSDZ, Les, almost no copy.
07:21z  GW4KVJ, John, a surprising 59 after the weak signals from Don and Les.
07:26z  EA5LWF, John, visitor, living near John and Diane. 59 decreasing to 55. 2 meter sked John/John arranged.
07:36z  G3LUW, Brian, 59+. As usual loud and clear.
07:48z  G4JVW, Bill. Today only 33.
07:52z  Net came to an end.

This Monday morning we said goodbye to my temporary second operator, Pertti, HB9/EA7GSU after a very enjoyable visit.
Pertti left for northern Italy from where he will be going into France along the Mediterranean coast road.
We proposed that Pertti stayed overnight in Piedmont, famous for its Barolo wines.
On his way home, Pertti intends to visit John and Diana in Benissa later in the week.

From Henk VK2GWK : -
Dear Bill,
Propagation is picking up and my new linear arrived (1.5KW now….) so hopefully we will be able to work the UK again.
I had a couple of UK QSO’s this week so it is possible. But… not this Sunday as we have a big fund raiser on Saturday
and some activities spill over on Sunday in the afternoon.
Hopefully see you all again the week after. Have talked to Klaus HB9CQS recently (my early morning) so there is hope!
Best regards from down under.
