From John Betts CT/G4HMG.
Hi Folks,
We have now spent a week here in Lagos and dispite preasure to stay longer we are reluctantly moving on in the morning.
It has been great seeing Laszlo and Helga and we hope we have been able to distract them a little from their current problems.
We had a trip with them last Thursday to Lisbon for Laszlo to see his consultant and to get the next stage of his treatment approved.
Test results have been good and all seems to be going well, the drugs however make him very sleepy.
We have been about a bit in the area and have eaten out several times.
We have also enjoyed another excellent goulash made by Laszlo and some other Hungarian dishes produced by Helga. All very good.
From here we will be making our way up the West Coast with two stops South of Lisbon and stopping again near Porto.
After that we will be striking out across the mountains of Northern Portugal to pick up our original planned route in the Picos de Europe
before getting the ferry home.
We will continue to look for the nets including the Tuesday morning schedule but at the moment it is 8.30am BST and I have been
listening to white noise on 14.293 Mhz for nearly an hour. I hope somebody else has done better.
Very best wishes to you all
Diana and John + Laszlo and Helga I am sure when they wake up!
