And Jim's comment : -

Dear Bill,
Last Sunday we found another way to increase ROAR check-ins.
VO1NP, Nate, was unable to participate from his home QTH due to high noise level and zero propagation.
By using telephone/internet circuit, he patched into W1QUO in east coast U.S. and followed contacts with
G4YZE, Bill, YO9BC, Coco, and UX4UA, Nick.
PATIENCE AND PERSEVERANCE WILL KEEP THE SPARK ALIVE.
                                                                                  73  Jim  W1QUO

Jim enjoyed his 90th birthday party immensely and sends thanks to all for
many birthday cards etc.

1800z - 1900z  UK evening 80-metre net on 3,693
Five on the net in very noisy conditions. Much QRN

Messages Received.

Past President Laszlo's 90th Birthday Message to Jim .  An inspiration to us all !
Dear friend Jim.
Permit us to wish you the best of everything for your special day with the words of Zoroaster.

"Nobody grows old merely by living a number of years; people grows old by deserting their ideals.
Years wrinkle the skin, but giving up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul. Worry, doubt, self distrust, fear,
and despair - these are the long years that bow the head and turn the growing spirit back to dust,
You are as as young as your faith, and as old as your doubts; as young as your self- confidence,
as old as your fears; as young as your hope, and as old as your despair".

John G4HMG and Diana visiting us and they join in to share the good wishes towards you.
73 Jim and stay vertical for many many years to come.

Laszlo AD6XX de CT and Helga.
