Jim experienced very high noise level throughout. but managed very well.
Jim reported a very good Transcontinental net last Sunday including contacts

Coos'  signal  was buried in the qrm and he gave it up pretty soon.
Laszlo was reporting steady improvement and he is now "nearly vertical".
David EA5ALK did not stay.  It got better later David !
Coco reported much qrm and very heavy rainstorms near his location.
(Coco !  My e-mail address is bill.learmonth@ntlworld.com    not lineone.net)
Per OZ5PD had been very busy but had completed and posted about 35 QSL cards
from the Convention station.  About another 40 to do !
He would welcome QSL cards from those who made contact.
Per will be sending on the Copenhagen (temporary) log sheets, also the
temporary guest-book sheets to Laszlo for incorporation into the permanent
Log-Book and Guest-Book.  Many thanks for a great effort Per !

1800z - 1900z  UK evening 80-metre net on 3,693
Eight on the net in good conditions.

Messages Received.

From Coos VE2GTI.
I was at 11.25 on frequency at which moment G4HMG was in contact with W1QUO.
G4HMG spoke also to VO1NP but when I tried to "get in" (with 1,500 W!) nobody heard me.
I guess in the corridor between Nfld in the north and MASS in the south, there was, just at
that time, no propagation.  G4HMG turned his antenna to speak to Laszlo (whom I could
not hear) and also to an EA. I lost him completely.
As I have my two grandsons from Vancouver here, my call would have been a
'check-in' check'-out only anyway, so it didn't matter.
Next Sunday better??  73's   de Coos VE2GTI.
