Nothing but noise and qrm S8 here until about 0830z.
0830z - CT/AD6XX President Laszlo from Lagos, Algarve. 3/4 to 5/9 in qsb.
0830z - HB9CQS Klaus from Sachseln about 3/4 today
0830z - G4HMG John from Devon up to 3/4 at times.

0835z - G0JWE Don from Derby 1/1 here but Laszlo got him.

Propagation very thin but we got little bits now and then.
President Laszlo had been in touch with Coco and was trying to
put Coco in touch with an equipment supplier.
Bill VK4ZD will be flying to Perth this week to see his new grandson and
will return in a couple of weeks time.
Great to hear Mike G8LES on this net for the first time, not very strong but
knowing Mike I'm sure it will improve

1230z - W1QUO Jim from Leominster MA 5/9.  Spring-like, rather windy, about zero C.

1230z - SM3EXM Erik from Sundsvall 5/9, minus 10C.  100 cms of snow in the last two days !

1347z - Net ended.  A very good net. Jim W1QUO reports some little progress with his sight.
Has some good friend specialists using a prism to direct light to a surviving part of the macula,
then lenses to produce some vision.  He could "recognise a dromedary at 6 metres."
Bert VE3BGG reports "temperatures up and down like a yoyo".  Canada has "election fever"
Nate VO1NP joined late. Little to report but wishes we record his "Salutations."

Eight on the net. Conditions fair at first, deteriorating very quickly to very difficult by 1930z.

Messages Received.

This sad message from Coos de Vries VE2GTI  this evening,  (Wednesday)
DE VRIES, Mark Richard  at age 45, beloved husband of Rose de Vries nee Hubbard,
son of the late Dona Jean de Vries nee Murray and Coos de Vries of Beaconsfield, QC,
Canada, brother of Karen Vaughan Shultes of Palmetto, Florida, U.S.A., father of Lance
Mark and Charles Ross, after courageously long battle with meningiomas, slipped away
peacefully at 15.25H GMT in Vancouver, BC, Canada  on the 25th January 2006.
It is the plan that after cremation, the ashes will be united with  those of Dona's, at a date
to be determined. Correspondence:  to Coos, who is temporarily in The Netherlands, at
Sincere sympathy from us all to Coos and family and friends.
