Dear Bill
Unusually short skip during net times these past 2 weeks reminiscent of Copenhagen in June!
As a result only signals from Europe in the noise except for Marti OH6SM last Sunday who was copyable.
Did manage to hear a bit more the week before. It has certainly been a terrific year and the Rotary Convention
was a highlight. I really enjoyed operating OZ5PD and wish to thank all the organisers and hands to the wheel
who got the station set up. Per's organisation bore fruit.
May I take this opportunity to wish all members of the ROAR nets a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
and may our sunspots be on the increase!

From Berton Grapes VE3BGG in Cambridge, ONT
Hello Bill,
It's been six frustrating weeks since propagation was good enough to allow me to QSO with the 12:30 ROAR group.
It was my hope this morning that we could exchange Christmas greetings with everybody but unfortunately it was not to be.
Hopefully Santa will bring us some sunspots soon! The weather here has been unusually mild - plus 10 deg. C.
and no snow at all! It looks as though we are going to have a "green" Christmas which is too bad for the children
that were looking forward to a week or two of sleighing, skiing and skating!
Margaret and I are flying out to Regina, Saskatchewan on Friday next to spend the Christmas week with our daughter
and her family, hence I will be unable to  join with you all on Sunday next.
Allow me to wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Please pass those greetings on for me to the other members of the net!
73 to all!      Bert - VE3BGG
