Roar Nets August 13 2006
Apologies for late service. I was enjoying a
Golden Wedding celebration in France last weekend but I see I missed a good
opening on 20m.
0630z - 0730z Europe - Anzo Net on 14,293
Long Path.
Thanks to Klaus for the following report. : -
Greatings Bill,
Not a big attendance on this Sunday morning,
but for once an opening to VK-land.
Agreed with Brian that I should send you
this report.
06:24z VK4ZD/P, Bill. Initially 33, but
fairly quickly increasing to 55 and topping at 57. Left us again for a
VK contest
06:25z VK2GWK, Henk. Started at 57 and
stayed close to 57 for almost half an hour.
06:42z G3LUW, Brian, acting net
controller. 59, fine signal. A bit too early for the VKs, but Brian
managed later.
06:50z GW4KVJ, John, near Cardiff. 57,
good copy. As always very patient with me when I try to assist the net
controller.
06:55z CT/AD6XX, Laszlo. 44 at best, even
though I was beaming long path towards VK. Glad to report that Laszlo is
steadily improving.
06:56z EA7GSU, Pertti. 22 and never
improving. Brian had to QSP.
07:20z Net closed
I did not attend the International net. I
was not at home at the time.

GW4KVJ, John. Unable to copy, but 5&7 from
Klaus
CT/AD6XX,Laszlo 5&7 with QSB. His health is
continuing to improve.
EA7GSU,Pertti 5&9 here, but Klaus could not
copy him.
We closed the net at 0720 due to lack of
customers
0800z - 0900z UK 80-metre net on 3,693.
Only 10 on the net in moderate conditions. Tony
G4FTA in charge.
1130z - 1230z International Net on 14,293.
1125 W1QUO Jim 5&7 here in very unstable
conditions.
Don G0JWE was 5&9 plus in Devon, but weak with
Jim
VE2GTI, Coos 5&5, YO9BC,Coco 5&9,
F/PA0SDZ, Les 5&9
VO1NP Nate was inaudible here, but passed
greetings via Jim
MI0JBT, Jim-Bob (non-Rotarian) 5&9 EA7GSU,
Pertti 5&9
G4HMG, John got 5&9 all round, GW4KVJ, John was
copied well by Jim
W0TBC, Joe passed greetings via Jim, but was
very weak in Devon
UX4UA, Nick 5&9 here, SM4CSF, Nils 5&7,
CT/AD6XX, Laszlo 5&7
OZ5PD, Per called in at the end 5&9
Signals were up and down, but all members were
able to make some contacts.
A good net with 16 members taking part.
1800z - 1900z UK evening 80-metre net on
3,693.
10 on the net in good conditions with static
crashes. Brian in charge.
