Roar Nets April 9 2006

Propagation very poor all day.  K=4, Flux=91.

0730z - 0830z  Europe - Anzo Net on 14,293 Long Path.
Nothing but noise here.  Thanks to Klaus for the following report : -

Greetings Bill,
Thanks for our International net QSO. Peculiar conditions since you were loud and clear
whereas Jim, W1QUO, was 44 - 55 most of the time. It is usually the other way round.
During the ANZO net conditions were very poor as you will see from my logbook extract.

0746z  OH6SM, Martti, came back to my CQ RI net call. After swinging the beam towards
OH, Martti was 56-58. Got 55.

0800z  CT/AD6XX, Laszlo, 54 for a start, got 55, but lost Laszlo after a few minutes.

0802z  EA7GSU, Pertti, 11 for a start, increasing to 58. Understand that it is doubtful that
Pertti will go to CPH.

0822z  Closed down after triangle QSO with Martti and Pertti under acceptable conditions,
interrupted by CQ RI net calls.

This morning (Monday) I worked VK2BLZ, Len, for 30 minutes, starting 0815z. 59 both ways,
decreasing to 57 at the end.

Not the most famous of nets.  Many thanks to all for trying.
A suitable footnote from Coos : -
I was there but heard virtually nothing. You came through very vaguely, Jim's voice
I heard very softly. I called, no reaction.
Next Sunday better?

From Secretary Noel : -
Thanks Bill for the report:
A couple of notes. The next edition of The Directory is ready for the printers just as
soon as I can get some quotes.
The other note is that we had a great weekend at the District Conference of D9640.
I was President Carl-Wilhelm's rep. They treeated us royally. We had met C-W a
week earlier. He was at an inter-city meeting in the next town. He and Monica
impressed us with their warmth and friendly manner.
I most surely miss the net but I still tune in.
Will be travelling over Easter and the week following so will not get to listen.
