0736z - ZL2JKP Foss from ?? 1/1 here
0755z - Net ended. A very lively net marked by strange double-peak
propagation.  Bill VK4ZD was 5/5 at the start, down to near inaudible
by 0710z and back up to 5/5 by 0730z, then falling off, not entirely
due to his half-voice caused by a cold.  I had it last week so it emigrated?
Great to hear Brian VK5CO. Brian has to care for xyl Joyce but also keeps
up his flying. Their Flying Rotarians had a "fly-in" to Auckland New Zealand.
Peter VK3KCD doing well with 100w from Flinders but also reports good
results with qsp on psk31 from his city qth in Melbourne.  Got a Derby contact this week!
Henk came on strong with the final rise in signals, having been on another net, and
introduced his friend Yaap operating from a holiday caravan in Portugal. Yaap/PA3FVA
is a member & an old friend of Roar and remembered George K1UIL from the "old days".

Chairman Laszlo reported all going well with Chicago station and he has
provided translations for the Hungarian and German Ham. magazines.
Responding to a question from Jim - Banners for the Chicago booth,
If you have members going to Chicago please ask them to deliver the
banner to the Roar booth, otherwise please send them to John Maier W8AUV.
Bert VE3BGG reported a sudden unseasonable snowfall coating every
leaf and blade of grass "like a winter fairyland".   Spring is coming Bert!
Rag' had good qso's with Joe and Bert who remember "Little Norway"
communities in their home locations. Wartime aircrew training stations.

Dear Fellow Rotarian
I have been searching and asking about a site that was about Rotary and amateur radio. Needless
to say, I was very happy to discover R.O.A.R. while reading thru the DX Summit site. I am
looking forward to working W9R at the R.I. Convention in Chicago. Please include on any mailing
list that is available (done) and listen for me at the convention.
Best regards
