0750z - Net closed. Band noise S5 here and some contest qrm
but a very good net despite all. Klause got good contact with Bill ZD
about his projected visit to Oz.  Bill CV was getting the Australians 5/9
and enjoying lovely weather. "Things going really well"
David EA5ALK made one call but did not respond later.
Traffic prevented an immediate response. 
Pete EA7GSU did well getting VK5CV and VK4ZD 5/7 both ways.
 
 
0800z - 0900z  UK 80-metre net on 3,696.
John G3JJR in control from Wolverhampton.
Sixteen on the net in fluctuating conditions.
 
1130z - 1230z  International Net on 14,293.
1130z - W1QUO Jim from Leominster MA 3/9 in qrm, 5/9 in the clear later..
1130z - VO1NP Nate from St.John's NF 2/1
1130z - VE2GTI Coos from Montreal PQ 5/7 in the clear.
1130z - SM0DMJ Karl from Nyneshamn 2/4 in qrm
1153z - W0TBC Joe from Stillwater MN 3/2
1218z - EA7GSU Pete from Fuengirola 5/4
1225z - WA9AQZ John from Petersburg IL 4/5
1231z - Net closed. Impossible qrm until IOTA contest ended at 1200z.
Coos had to leave at 1150z before the contest ended but said he copied
Karl well, reading nobody else. Coos reported perfect weather, up to 26c.
SM0DMJ Karl also left before the contest ended but I did not really copy Karl.
Joe W0TBC a bit light. Jim got him at times but not well enough for conversation.
Joe reported that he has no e-mail address now.
John WA9AQN had had the company of a Youth Exchange student for a few weeks
A student from Reinbach, Germany.  He was a CW enthusuast, sharing John's hobby.
Jim W1QUO apologised for his e-mail box becoming over-subscribed. He will clear it soon.
His seaside holiday was sadly terminated early due to a death in the family.
They had to leave Ogunquit after one day and return to Leominster.
Our sympathies and best wishes Jim !

Good Day Gentlemen:
I noticed in QST (August Issue) the SK status of Donn Nottage. W8JGP.  Donn  was an
acquaintance of mine when we both lived in Cincinnati, Ohio 25 years ago.  Donn lived in
Skaneateles, NY, USA.  Donn is listed in the 2005-06 (ROAR) Directory. 
I have no idea as to his actual death date our cause.  73,   John W8AUV
