From Chairman Laszlo/AD6XX
"Hallo Bill. Hope everything is going fine and in your way.
We managed to drive up from southern Calif. to Seattle WA. with
our Motor Home.
It was raining or pouring all the way.
We stopped in Medford Oregon for two days and had a lovely visit
with Bob Butler and XYL.
Talked over the finances of ROAR and I think we made some
outstanding efforts with good results.
I am confident that we will get the unpleasant conditions under
control. It is comforting that we
have enough funds in the "piggy" to cover Noel's Directory and
Don's bulletin.
I had a chance to talk to Jim W1QUO on the 1800 net on Bob's rig
as well.
Planning to depart to Chicago next week to be there at about 14 or
15th of June.
Had number of phone meetings with John Maier W8AUV from here and
we put the final touch on
W9R. Everything is in good order. Bill if you have anything for me
please use my
AD6XX@sapo.pt
address. I can call and receive my email here.

From John Maier to David Johansson KA5GLT.
Thank you for contacting Bill G4YZE regarding operations of W9R.
Please refer to the ROAR Web Site
www.ifroar.org for printed activity
schedule. Just click on the convention icon.
I will be setting up the schedule of operators. Saturday and
Sunday, I feel, will be the better days for
contacts only because most will have the time on the weekend to
operate. The convention doesn’t get
going until Sunday afternoon and then Monday, etc. When do you and
Jane plan on arriving in Chicago?
I have placed your email address on the list to receive further data
regarding the Special Event Station.
I will be sending out an update shortly. Glad to know of your
interest in operating the station and in ROAR.
