Messages received.
From John Maer/W8AUV re the Rotary Convention Special Event Station W9R.
John's full report will appear in Don's next "Communicator."
......................All went well in Chicago except for propagation...............
.....We labored through poor signals and noise on the band..........
We were able to conduct the 1800 Sunday, 19 June, net with W9R as Net Control Station.
We had 7 stations check in with 3 more listening at W9R.....We contacted several other
Rotarians on the air but will have to wait for a really great experience for some future convention.
Propagation was a disappointment but not totally unexpected.
Certificates and QSLs will be mailed later in July when I get back to my home QTH.
I hope this finds you all in good health and enjoying the ham bands.
73 de John W8AUV.

John, our thanks to you and all who helped with the Chicago station.
You all worked very hard and deserved better luck but I guess the sun rules the game in H/F radio.
Thanks again John !
