long by 8cms diameter from the verandah of his 19th floor apartment..

"Not very good copy" as Bill said but it's astonishing he got there at all.

Pete's new beam sounds very promising

Pete had three birthday parties this week, first with friends returning

to Finland, second with his lady friend and another with his sister,

neighbours and more friends from Finland. He did not say how old he is.

Bill VK5CV also had a big birthday party with four generations there

including two great-grand-children.

Coos had another two weeks in hospital,  "clearing up some problems"

Great to hear Tore LA5JB after a long absence from the net. Tore has had

a busy period, having sold up his business, had a holiday and taken part

in a "fly in" of the Fellowship of Flying Rotarians to Helsinki. Hope we shall

hear you regularly now Tore !

Great also to hear Bob Austin, now in better health. Join us when you can Bob !

John F/G4HMG/p with a thin signal from a lay-by on the way up to Bourge Madame

on the French/Spanish border on top of the Pyrenees. Should be better next week.

He was back in Kalgoorlie operating from his old station as VK6ZX.

This Sunday 21st, he was in Adelaide for his mothers 80th birthday.

We look forward to a full report next Sunday Bill !

I am retired now and working people frequently ask me
what I do to fill my days.  I try to have some fun every day !
 

I went shopping the other day. I was only there for about 5 minutes.
When I came out there was an officer writing a parking ticket.
I went up to him and said,
 "Come on, buddy, how about giving a Senior Citizen a break?"
He ignored me and continued writing the ticket.
I called him a jerk.
He glared at me and started writing another ticket
for having worn tires.
 At this point, feeling he was very inconsiderate, I said so.
He finished the second ticket with a flourish and put it on the
windshield with the first. Then he started writing a third ticket.
This went on for about 10 minutes. The more I verbally abused him,
the more tickets he wrote.
 

I then headed off to my car which was parked around the corner.
