-----  I got the following message from Bill VK4ZD just after the net.-----
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Diane and I wish you and all on the net to know that our thoughts and prayers are with all
affected in the UK by the recent terrorist attack.
Diane, VK4KYL was also on frequency at the outset chatting with Bill VK5CV.
Bill has a pacemaker problem which will require attention quite soon.
We had a high white noise level here with very deep fading.
The only European I heard here was Klaus faintly at one stage.
Bill, VK5CV was 5/9 to me and we had a call form Sam ZL1AOE who was up to 57 here.
Sam passes his best wishes to all on the net.
He was loading a 40/80m dipole. It was great hear his voice again.
He hopes to be fully (ham radio) operational in 4 to 5 months, pointing out that it is a little
restrictive being in a wheel chair.     73 de Bill (VK4ZD)
-------------------------------------------------------------
Many thanks Bill.!

Jim is learning a new computer programme called Dragon. He talks to it

Coos VE2GTI was submerged in qrm here during his time on the net.
Nate VO1NP reported he is transferring from the Rotary Club of St.John's to
the Rotary Club of Waterford Valley (St.John's) NF.  Nate has been in Rotary
about 40 years with 100% attendance most of that time.  Congratulations Nate !
Both Nils and Karl were enjoying super summer weather in Sweden.

Messages Received.
A little light relief from Hugh/M1NTO's list of "Why?"s.
Why do we press harder on a remote control when we know the batteries are flat?
Why does someone believe you when you say there are four billion stars,
but check when you say the paint is wet?
